In any outdoor activity, there is an element of risk involved. Risks in undertaking HobbyHorsing include; property damage, serious personal injury and death may result from any HobbyHorsing activity.
Consumption of alcohol or any drugs prohibited by law must NOT be consumed prior, on the property to or during the HobbyHorsing lesson as it could affect your ability to participate/take instructions. Smoking is not permitted at any time whilst participating. The participant accepts that they participate at their own risk.
The coach of EquusAmie takes all practicable steps to identify and minimize potential dangers.
Adults accompanying any person under the age of 16 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times. You must release or indemnify EquusAmie and our volunteers/helpers against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions or the failure of any person accompanying you under the age of 16 to follow our instructions.
We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others from the lesson. We also reserve the right to cancel the lesson if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person. In which case no refund of the participation fee will be given. If our coach/Adult helper assistant judges that someone’s behaviour may endanger themselves or others while on our property or during participation, this person may be asked to stop at any stage, with no refund offered.
Warning: under New Zealand law it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to sue anyone if you are injured.
Exclusions: to the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property or mental injury is excluded. This exclusion is subject to any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Please list on the Safety terms & conditions form on location any medical conditions or other information we need to know to include you safely in this activity. For example: asthma, allergies, heart conditions, epilepsy, joint replacements or pregnancy. If under 18, a parent or guardian must read and sign this form. You are entitled to access any information we hold about you, or to request its correction at any time.
